Job Description:Senior Integration Architect

Length of Contract:18 months
Contract Extension Options:2 x 12 months

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Design and implement ISREW system integration
  • Work with lead architects to develop the needs and requirements into valid system specifications
  • Analyse requirements in FPS, HLDs and Active Network design and develop technical interface designs that align to Defence patterns
  • Work with the Test and Evaluation manager to develop test and evaluation plans to provide traceability of design
  • Organise and run working groups to develop interface control documents and agreements with supporting service providers. 

Technical skills

3-5 years experience in management, integration, operation or maintenance of military/strategic ICT based mission systems Current industry experience in Interface Control Document / Interface Design Description is desirable.

The Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) is a statutory agency in the Defence portfolio that defends Australia against global threats and advances our national interests through the provision of foreign signals intelligence, cyber security and offensive cyber operations as directed by the Australian Government. Essential criteria

1.Demonstrable experience in designing and documenting software interfaces and interoperability between strategic IT and ISR mission systems.

2.Ability to work in a team environment, participate in project meetings and engage with both business and technical stakeholders.

3.Ability to conduct research, as well as rapidly learn new concepts and tasks, with a view of improving technical knowledge and skills.

4.Technical experience with Application/System integration.

Desirable criteria

1.Technical experience with: ISREW mission systems; SOA concepts and models; API concepts; network routing and protocols
