The Digital Citizen Services Section within DFAT’s Information Management and Technology Division is seeking an experienced Web Developer with Oracle WebCenter experience.
Key duties and responsibilities
The role is to support the delivery of new/updated sites that will be used by business areas as the source of truth for operational policies and procedures; and undertake an assessment of the current Oracle WebCenter environments; and will involve:
- Work with the business team to develop the site concept, interface design, and architecture of the site(s).
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, and implement software code (such as HTML, CGI, CSS, XML, JSON, JavaScript, PHP) for the Oracle WebCenter.
- Perform initial testing of the newly developed code.
- Perform deployment of sites/updates to development, test and production environments adhering to change and control processes.
- Undertake an assessment of the current environments; and provide recommendations to improve supportability.
- Developing, or assisting in developing of operational procedure documents for the support of Oracle WebCenter and associated tools.
Essential criteria
1. • Capability of personnel to provide the services • Experience providing similar services • Valid security clearance at required level • Value for money
2. • Competency in current web technologies (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML). • 3+ years’ experience working as an Oracle WebCenter Developer including exposure to the latest version: 12c. • Experience with Apache Nutch or similar web crawler products. • Experience with Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana and Logstash). • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong client relationships and translate business requirements. • Experience in developing and maintaining technical documentation.
Desirable criteria
1. • Experience with alternate CMS products.
