Lead ETL Developer

The successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary team and will be responsible for the following deliverables and activities:

• Develop code for data pipeline enhancements, dimensional modelling, ETL testing, script automation and code fixes to support the ongoing demand for C1 reports.
• Prioritise work in an environment with competing priorities using an understanding of interdependencies and the organisation’s strategic priorities; and
• Contribute to the delivery of timely outcomes, while seeking ways to improve processes.

This position is at the DENG 4 level:

Devises and implements master data management processes for specific subsets of data.

Assesses the integrity of data from multiple sources.

Provides advice on the transformation of data from one format/medium to another. Maintains and implements information handling procedures.

Enables the availability, integrity and searchability of information through the application of formal data and metadata structures and protection measures.

Essential

• 5-10 years’ experience with ETL development, preferably in an SQL server environment
• Experience in Defence or another Commonwealth department
