The Enterprise Architect will work closely with service designers, business analysts, policy writers, program architects, Enterprise Architects, procurement specialists, IT Security and other stakeholders to shape and inform outcomes. As such, strong communication and stakeholder engagement and management skills are essential.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the Funding and Disclosure (FAD) program representatives and Indigo Program technical teams to design the solution approach for delivery aligned with the future state design
  • Develop an operational understanding of existing IT infrastructure, Program Design Standards and program work packages
  • Collaborate directly with the relevant CIOD, FAD and Indigo leads to ensure enterprise architecture are fit for purpose and meet business and user needs
  • Define architectural standards, principles, and guidelines to ensure consistency and alignment
  • Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective IT solutions for complex business requirements
  • Define and enforce IT governance frameworks, standards, and best practice
  • Identify risks associated with tech adoption or integration and develop mitigation strategies
  • Perform additional duties or assume responsibility of functions as directed by the Director of the OCIO from time to time.

Essential criteria

1. Understand Agile project delivery framework and have experience in managing IT change within an Agile project or Program.

2. Experience in a similar role in a complex IT environment

3. Experience working with Program Managers and Product Owners managing competing requirements and business processes.

4. Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior executives and key stakeholders.

5. Experience in ITIL processes and structures

6. Proven ability to deliver Enterprise Architecture in a complex ICT environment and meet business requirements which align with organisational/environmental constraints.

Desirable criteria

1. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in producing innovative Enterprise Architecture for both current and future state

2. Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate between business and technical terminology.
